Darth Maul:
Red and black skin with distinctive tattoo patterns is the distinctive appearance of the Zabrak (the race to which Maul belongs).
The horns on his head and elongated skull give him a particularly menacing appearance. He wields a double-bladed lightsaber, which has become one of the character's symbols: Maul spins it dramatically, creating the image of a deadly machine.

Maul has rank-and-file mercenaries and syndicate fighters—Maul's power base on the planet Janix. They're a motley crew: former soldiers, bounty hunters, and street fighters. They carry out raids, eliminate rivals, maintain territory, and serve as human shields in skirmishes with the Inquisitors.
