Every day, Sunghoon left for work at exactly five in the evening to prepare the bar for the influx of people. He returned regularly at eleven o'clock, tired, but always on time.

This evening dragged on slowly for Sunwoo. Kim managed to cook a full dinner, played a couple of hours on the PlayStation, and finally decided to relax in a hot bath.

When he emerged, steamed and wrapped in a fluffy towel, his gaze immediately fell on the wall clock. The hands pointed to midnight, but the apartment remained perfectly silent.

Sonu dialed Pak's number once, then twice, but the line only rang dully, and no one seemed inclined to interrupt it. His insides instantly tightened with anxiety and irritation.

For the next two hours, Kim was literally beside himself, pacing the living room and checking his phone screen every two minutes in hopes of catching the call he'd missed.

When the key finally moved in the door, Sunwoo jumped off the couch. He flew into the hallway before Park had even managed to close the front door completely behind him.

"Where have you been?!" Sunghoon asked from the doorway.

Pak just raised his eyebrows wearily, frozen with his jacket in his hands, and stared at him as if he were crazy.

“I was held up at work, sorry,” he exhaled calmly, taking off his shoes.
