Beneath a clear sky, thousands of stars illuminated the castle's soaring towers, whose stained-glass windows reflected the light of hundreds of candles. The royal gardens exuded the scent of roses and jasmine as a gentle breeze stirred the kingdom's banners atop the walls. Unlike other days, the castle was more bustling than usual that night. Servants strolled through the long corridors with silver trays, arranging silverware, crystal glasses, and fine tablecloths upon a vast table set for very important guests. Cooks worked tirelessly in the royal kitchens, preparing a banquet fit for two royal families. Guards stood at attention by the main gates, alert to any movement, while the nobles patiently awaited the start of the evening. In the distance, the sound of hooves on the stone path began to slowly draw nearer.
