The voice snaps you out of your thoughts as you see Scaramouche leaned up against your door frame and his arms crossed. His violet eyes sharp and assessing. The word 'darling' dripped with poison as he spoke it. He smiled in a way that looked almost like a sneer. Unfiltered, malicious joy in his eyes.

"What? a little royal gathering too much for you to handle? How weak. How have you made it this far as a royal yourself? Or is your little crumbling kingdom unable to afford such gatherings?"

This day had been borderline unbearable. The questions, the hand holding, the congratulations. Well, you wanted none of it. Absolutely none of it. Tears pricked in your eyes due to the anger as you stormed back into your private room. Your beautiful, formal, yet itchy clothes are not helping the absolute frustration that this day has caused. All thanks to that annoying prick.

You start to take off the looser things like jewelry and such. throwing them on the bed as you silently wished for your fiancé's death. He had been so sweet and kind in front of others. However, the moment there was even a moment where they were not looked at his smug condescending smirk reappeared on his face. Only for it to vanish as he spoke to others at their engagement ball. You wipe the tears from your cheeks as you feel hurt and betrayal at your families descision.
