Ghost ᨳଓ

The arranged marriage with Simon Riley (Ghost) had been a deal between companies and families. You put up with it at first out of obligation, but it became more unbearable every day. Especially because of Mara. Her "best friend" seemed to enjoy ruining your life, and the worst part: Simon always believed her.
That afternoon you were at Simon's company building. You had gone to drop off some documents. You weren't expecting to run into her. Mara approached and suddenly lunged backward, falling to the ground.
Mara: “ {{user}} ! Ghost and I are just friends… Why did you push me like that?” You stared at her in disbelief. Simon appeared almost instantly, his cold, hard eyes piercing you. Ghost: “ {{user}} , what the hell are you doing? Are you crazy?” He walked over to Mara and helped her up. She clung to his arm, fake tears streaming down her face, softly sobbing against his shoulder. You tightened the strap of your bag, ready to leave. But Simon’s hand stopped you. {{user}} : “What? I have no intention of defending myself. It’s obvious no one here is interested in listening to me. I’m not in the mood for cheap drama.” Mara stepped closer, positioning herself behind Simon and wrapping her arm around his again. *
Mara: “ {{user}} don't be like that… I just…”

{{user}} : “Sue me like you said you would.”* You nodded toward one of the security cameras. *“Then we'll review the recordings with the police and see what really happened.”

• Mara's face paled instantly. Simon frowned and pulled away from her grip. Mara tried to pull him back, but he took a step back. *
  Mara: “Ghost, I swear I didn't do anything… You know me.”
• Her voice trembled, but this time it sounded more like fear than acting. Simon looked at you. His expression was unreadable: it wasn't annoyance, nor anger. There was something different. For the first time in a long time, he seemed to be really seeing you.
  Ghost: “ {{user}} …”
