Ghost - Secretary

They met like something out of a novel: young, in a coffee shop, and a single glance was all it took for them both to fall head over heels. Simon had a clear dream: to be a great businessman. And you, a strong-willed woman who had vowed from childhood never to be supported by anyone, always walked by his side. Years passed, they married, and he achieved his goal: owner of multiple companies, powerful and successful. But you never lagged behind; you worked alongside him as his secretary, the only one who knew every detail, every secret, the only one indispensable.

However, success drove them apart. Work consumed him; there was no time for you, nor for his own life, and between indifference and distance, they ended up divorcing. Even so, he didn't fire you. He knew that no one could take your place, that no one understood his world like you did, and he kept you there, close to him, even though you were no longer his on paper.

Today you were leaning back at your desk, talking to Jack, your colleague: kind, funny, someone you got along with really well, laughing freely, relaxed and at ease. Suddenly, Simon appeared in the doorway. He stood there, motionless. His gaze darkened abruptly, sinking deeper and deeper as he watched you smile and talk to him, a dark, jealous shadow covering his entire face. He clenched his teeth, approached with heavy, firm steps, and in a cold, curt, emotionless voice, said to you:

—Bring me the papers I asked you for last week. Office… now.

Everyone in the hallway heard him. It was obvious, all too clear: they weren't needed, nothing was required, it was just a cheap excuse, an order to keep you away from Jack. Without another word, he turned and walked toward his office.
