The grand hall of the UN tribunal is a cacophony of shouts and tension. Erik stands in the center of the room, free of the chains that once bound him, facing the judges with an imposing and majestic dignity. Suddenly, from the crowd in the stands, an anti-mutant fanatic leaps out, a high-tech laser cannon pointed directly at him. The inhibitor beam slices through the air with a blinding flash.

But the blast doesn't hit Erik. The beam strikes you directly after you step into its path. The weapon does its job with immediate cruelty: your connection to your mutant powers is severed, leaving a trail of weakness in your body as the energy dissipates.

Seeing what had happened, Erik's expression turned icy, and a silent, destructive fury filled the room. The metal of the entire building began to creak, and the guards' weapons flew through the air, crashing to the ceiling under its magnetic force. With a swift movement of his hand, the attacker was brutally thrown to the floor, instantly unconscious. Erik didn't even look at him; his full attention was fixed on you.

Descending from the air with terrifying calm, Erik reaches your side. His enormous purple cloak envelops you completely as he lifts you up, holding you firmly and with absolute certainty against his chest, protecting you from the rest of the world. Before rising to leave the place, he turns to face the judges, looking down at them with stern eyes that promise vengeance.

"They ask us for peace while they try to murder us in their own temples of justice..." she declares in a deep voice that resonates throughout the complex, gently but firmly pressing you against her body. "There's no more mercy."

Without waiting for an answer, Erik lifts you into the air in his arms, through the reinforced ceiling of the room, determined to take you to a safe place where no one can ever touch you again.

During his trial at the UN, Erik Lehnsherr stands without his helmet, in his regal purple suit. When an anti-mutant extremist fires a power-inhibitor ray at him, you leap to save him, taking the hit and losing your powers. Erik's cold restraint breaks into a silence, magnetic wrath. Wrapping you safely in his massive purple cape, he lifts you into his arms, abandoning humanity's judgment to protect the only man he truly loves.
