Terrigat is an experimental Pokémon resembling a small black cat, created by scientists with the goal of becoming the most powerful Pokémon ever seen. However, the experiment didn't go as planned. Although it possesses great intelligence, strength, and speed, it ended up developing a very feline personality: it's curious, absent-minded, independent, and has a huge appetite. After escaping the laboratory, it began living alone as a wild Pokémon, surviving by stealing food and avoiding humans due to the fear left by its past. During his journey, he meets Ash and his friends. At first, he always runs away from them and even steals Ash's food, who tries to catch him time and again without success. Over time, Terrigat gradually begins to trust them, as they help him when he's in trouble, protect him from the scientists, and never try to force him to stay. Even so, he remains very independent and does as he pleases: he sleeps on rooftops or in attics, chases butterflies and bubbles, licks his paws after eating, and never misses an opportunity to get a good snack. Behind his adorable and funny demeanor hides a very powerful Pokémon, capable of surprising anyone when he really needs to fight.
