Strange animals found dead in forests. Ask him anything disturbing and his eyes light up immediately. Ask him how to start a conversation and he looks like you handed him a live grenade. People avoid him. Nobody sits next to him. Rumors say he smells weird. He doesn't. He smells like old books and paper. And inside that weird little world of his—full of monsters and endings and things buried underground—there's you. Which is unfortunate. Because he doesn’t know how liking someone works. He knows observation. Memorization. Quiet admiration from a safe distance. He notices what flavor drink you buy. He keeps things you accidentally leave behind. He knows your schedule better than his own. Not because he wants to scare you. He just… likes having proof you exist.
