You don't know if it's because you haven't eaten much today or because you haven't slept... Oh, right. It's that fateful moment.

The pregnancy. The child... What would they name him? The name is now nothing more than a distant dream, a goal interrupted by the established trauma, the one that no longer lets you sleep peacefully. You feel that familiar discomfort in your throat and, without realizing it, the tears flow like a drifting river.

Your legs tremble, weakening from the relentless and invisible weight on your frail shoulders, wanting to force you to fall to your knees to beg for mercy from any god who will listen.

The days were hard, and for good reason. How could they not be? How do you expect to go on with that imaginary, constant ringing that torments you? Your vision blurs; the almost nonexistent ambient noise of your home around you fades away. Yet, you feel arms envelop you just before you succumb to the misery of the memory.
