1. Lyle Wainfleet (His right-hand man) He is Quaritch's second-in-command and closest ally since they were both human. Physically: He is a Na'vi of extremely robust and rugged build. Like Quaritch, he prefers to have his hair shaved on the sides and wears strictly military clothing. Personality: He is cruel, ruthless, and enjoys violence. He has no respect for Pandora or the natives and follows Quaritch's orders without ever questioning them. He survives alongside the colonel at the end of the second film. 2. Zdinarsk (Nicknamed "Z-Dog") She is the most outstanding and lethal woman in the Recombinant squad. Physically: Her appearance is very striking and rebellious. She has her hair shaved on one side and several human-style tattoos on her blue Na'vi skin, which is very unusual. One of her strangest physical habits is that she tends to chew her own cartridges or bullets as if they were gum. Personality: She is a tough, witty warrior, extremely aggressive in combat and very skilled with heavy weapons. 3. Mansk: He is the "silent giant" of the group. Physically: He is one of the largest and most powerfully built Recombinants. He has a serious and cold expression, and almost always carries a huge heavy machine gun (Hydra) which he handles with complete ease.    Prager: He has a style reminiscent of Vietnam War soldiers on Earth, wearing a bandana and light equipment. He is agile and an expert tracker.
   Ja: He primarily serves as a combat medic within the Recombinant squad. His tactical gear features a tattoo of Neptune's trident.

Although his body changed, his mind is an exact copy of his human version, creating a strong psychological contrast:
Forced Military Mindset: He remains a relentless, disciplined, cold, and order-obsessed strategist. He sees the world through the prism of war and tactical objectives.
Obsessive and Resentful: His primary motivation is revenge against Jake Sully. His pride was deeply wounded by his past defeat, making his current mission personal and destructive.
Identity Conflict: Although he despises the native culture and clings to his identity as a human soldier, he is forced to learn Na'vi skills (such as taming an Ikran) in order to hunt them. This creates an internal contradiction: he uses his connection to Pandora's nature, but for a purely military and destructive purpose.

Quaritch was a military veteran from Earth and the head of security for the RDA corporation on Pandora. His sole objective was to protect mining operations, and he had no respect for Na'vi culture or the satellite's ecosystem. The conflict: He hires Jake Sully to act as a spy and infiltrate the Na'vi. When Jake joins them, Quaritch assumes full control and leads the violent attack that destroys the Tree of Life. His original death: In the final, epic battle, Quaritch uses a mechanized exosuit (AMP suit) to fight Jake directly. Just before he can finish him off, Neytiri kills him by shooting two massive arrows into his chest. 2. The Return as a Recombinant (Avatar: The Way of Water): Despite his physical death, the RDA didn't get rid of him. Before dying, the colonel had made a complete copy of his memories, mind, and personality. The new body: His memories are inserted into a genetically modified Na'vi body, a clone called a Recombinant. The Mission: Upon awakening in this new blue body, he discovers his mission is to hunt down and kill Jake Sully, whom he sees as a traitor to humanity. Spider's Dilemma: At this stage, he discovers he left a human son on Pandora, a teenager nicknamed Spider. Although Quaritch claims he has no feelings for him because he is a clone, throughout the film he develops a protective instinct that emotionally weakens him. In the end, Jake defeats him in an underwater fight, but Spider rescues him from drowning before returning to the Na'vi. To the Ashes (Avatar: Fire and Ash): In the third installment, his path becomes much darker and more destructive. After being rejected by both humans and the traditional Na'vi clans, Quaritch seeks new alliances and finds common ground with Varang, the leader of the violent Ash Clan (the fire Na'vi). Consumed by resentment and obsession with Jake Sully.

As an obstacle or "savages" (The corporate and military perspective)
For the top brass of the RDA (Resource Development Administration) and the military forces, the Na'vi are seen as inferior, primitive beings and an impediment to human progress.
Lack of empathy: By not valuing Earth's technological lifestyle, corporate leaders consider them "savages" who live in trees.
Justification: They see them as a biological obstacle based on multi-billion dollar resources (like unobtainium). This mindset makes it easier for them to justify the use of force, the displacement of their clans, and the destruction of their environment to achieve their economic goals.
2. As a fascinating species to protect (The scientific perspective)
For scientists and anthropologists from the Avatar program (such as Dr. Grace Augustine), the Na'vi are a highly sophisticated culture worthy of profound respect.
Ecological connection: Scientists understand that the Na'vi are not "primitive," but possess a biological and neuronal understanding of their world that humanity never managed to develop.
Allies: They see them as intelligent, peaceful beings with a spiritual wealth from which the humans of a dying Earth should learn.
3. As a lethal threat (The perspective of the private)
For military personnel on the ground, respect or corporate greed sometimes take a backseat to fear. They see the Na'vi as formidable, lethal, and extremely dangerous warriors. Their ten feet of height, superior physical strength, and mastery of the wilderness lead many soldiers to view them simply as fearsome enemies to be feared and fought in order to survive.

In the first film, the RDA (Resource Development Administration) corporation arrives on Pandora for the sole purpose of mining a very rare and extremely valuable mineral called unobtainium.
What is it used for? It's a room-temperature superconductor. On a dying, energy-depleted Earth, this mineral is vital for maintaining human technology, magnetic levitation trains, and interstellar transport.
2. Colonization and survival (Relocation Interest)
In the second film (Avatar: The Way of Water), humanity's objective becomes far more desperate and aggressive. They are no longer solely after the mineral: Earth is dying, and humanity needs a new home.
The new plan: To make Pandora the new base of operations for humanity. The objective changes from "mine and leave" to colonizing, pacifying, and terraforming the moon so that the human race can relocate there, which implies displacing or completely eliminating any Na'vi who resist.
3. Hunting for Amrita (Medical/Commercial Interest)
With the arrival in Pandora's oceans, humans discover a new biological resource of incalculable value: Amrita.
What is it? It is a yellowish liquid extracted from the brains of the Tulkun (the enormous intelligent whale-like creatures).
What is it for? It completely halts human aging. A single bottle sells for billions of dollars on Earth, becoming the new financial engine of the human presence in Pandora's seas.

The Forest Na'vi (Omaticaya Clan)
They are the protagonists of the first Avatar movie. They inhabit the deep, dense rainforests of Pandora.
Physical appearance: They have electric blue or bright blue skin with dark stripes that help them camouflage themselves among the shadows of the trees. Their bodies are extremely slender, agile, and thin, perfect for climbing, jumping between vines, and moving through the air.
Lifestyle: They are hunter-gatherers. Their spiritual home was the Mother Tree.
Animal connection: Their main link is with the Ikran (pterodactyl-like flying creatures) and the Direhorses (six-legged horses).
2. The Water Na'vi (Clan Metkayina)
Introduced in Avatar: The Way of Water. They live on the reefs and ocean islands of Pandora. Due to thousands of years of evolution in the sea, their bodies have changed drastically compared to those in the forest.
Physical appearance: They have skin that is a light blue-green or turquoise color. Their limbs (arms and legs) are thicker and flatter, acting as flippers. Their tail is broad, flat, and muscular, similar to that of a crocodile or mermaid, giving them incredible propulsion underwater. They also possess larger eyes with nictitating membranes (transparent eyelids) to see clearly underwater.
Lifestyle: They are a peaceful people who live in floating houses integrated into the roots of Marui trees. Their culture revolves around the ocean.
Animal connection: They are linked to the Ilu (fast sea creatures) and the Tulkun (enormous intelligent cetaceans with whom they share a spiritual bond of brotherhood).
3. The Fire Na'vi (The Ash Clan / Mangkwan People)
This group is the major addition to the third film installment, Avatar: Fire and Ash. They inhabit the volcanic and devastated regions of Pandora.

Atmosphere: It is toxic to humans due to high concentrations of carbon dioxide, xenon, and hydrogen sulfide. Humans need to wear masks with special filters (exomasks) to survive there.
Gravity: It is slightly less than Earth's, allowing creatures and local inhabitants to be much taller and more slender.
Magnetic Fields: It has an extremely powerful magnetic field. This gives rise to the famous Hallelujah Mountains, which are immense floating mountains charged with a superconducting mineral called unobtainium.
Nature and Bioluminescence
If there's one thing that defines Pandora, it's its spectacular ecosystem. All the flora and fauna are neurally connected through an organic network that the natives call Eywa (their deity).
Bioluminescence: At night, almost all plants, fungi, and animals glow in the dark with neon colors (blues, purples, and greens), turning the landscape into an incredible visual spectacle.
Flora: The trees are colossal. The most famous is the Home Tree, which serves as a home for the local clans.
The Na'vi are the humanoid species native to Pandora.
Physical appearance: They measure around 3 meters in height, have blue skin with darker stripes, feline ears and a long tail.
