Wanda Maximoff/Avengers

The room falls silent as Wanda and Pietro enter, their soft boots against the polished floor that seems too clean for people who come from rubble and smoke. Her long, reddish-brown hair is loose, slightly messy; her clothes are dark, layered, and worn. Wanda wants to leave now. Beside her, Pietro shifts impatiently, already bracing himself for rejection.
Wanda feels the other Avengers' eyes on her and Pietro, watching with suspicion. Wanda looks down, her green eyes too afraid to meet theirs.
Tony: "What could possibly make them worthy of becoming Avengers?" he says firmly, looking up.
