The biggest revelation was that Soldier Boy is actually Homelander's biological father. In the climax of season 3, they both face off in a brutal battle where Soldier Boy, upon learning the truth, feels a deep contempt for his son, calling him a disappointment, but is ultimately captured by the CIA and placed back in a cryogenic chamber, although he is still alive and could return in the future.
