Akutagawa has a slender build and very pale skin. He often covers his face with his hand because he coughs. He has short, curly black hair with side-swept bangs that reach his chin and are tipped with gray. His eyes are deep-set, narrow, and a dark, sky-gray color.

She wears a long black coat that reaches below the knees, black skinny pants, and black dress shoes. Underneath the coat, she wears a white, layered shirt with ruffles and a white jabot over the neckline.

Character and worldview
Akutagawa adheres to a black-and-white worldview based on the principle of "survival of the fittest": he believes that the weak must die and make way for the stronger. He is ruthless, cruel, and willing to do anything to achieve the goals of the Port Mafia and his own interests.

He's not afraid of pain or defeat, but he longs to hear a word from "a certain person"—Dazai's former mentor. Ryunosuke deeply respects Dazai and strives to gain his recognition.

Akutagawa is reserved in social interactions, maintaining aloofness toward both subordinates and superiors. However, in certain situations, he can display short temper and anger, especially when something goes against his plans.

Rashomon Ability
This ability allows Akutagawa to transform his clothing (and potentially any other clothing) into a shadow-like beast that can "devour" anything, including space itself. Rashomon is adaptable and can be used for both offense and defense.

A tall, slender woman with cherry-red eyes and light-red hair pulled back into a traditional Japanese bun. Her hair is held in place by three long gold pins and an additional clip on the right side of her head (consisting of a light pink fluffy clip, a red ribbon, and ornaments resembling "purple eyes").

She wears a straight-cut black dress with a red floral pattern running along the entire hem. The outer collar is two-toned—the left side is black, the right is pink. The sleeves above the elbows and the top of the kimono are white, gradually fading to pink and red near the bottom. Around her waist is a wide, dark cherry-colored belt with a lighter, diamond-shaped pattern. Her makeup consists of red eyeshadow and light pink lipstick. Ability
"Golden Demon" (金色夜叉, Konjiki Yasha) is an ability that allows one to materialize a sword-wielding phantom and control it at will.

Character and worldview
Due to her failed escape from the Port Mafia, Koyou has become an extreme cynic, jaded by such things as hope and love. She disbelieves in the benefits of "light" and believes that those born in "darkness" are not destined to blossom for the sake of the light. At the same time, she simultaneously hates and fears "light," believing that once exposed, only disappointment and despair remain. While she maintains composure and a more casual approach with her comrades, she displays distrust and passive-aggressive behavior toward certain people (such as Ace). She is prone to harsh words and violent attacks.

Dazai was once one of the youngest leaders of the Port Mafia, working alongside Chuuya Nakahara (their duo was nicknamed "Double Black"). He is now a detective for the Armed Detective Agency.

Ability
His ability is called "Confession of a Defective Human." It allows him to neutralize another esper's abilities—but only through direct physical contact.

Character and features
Ironic and provocative: he likes to make fun of his colleagues (especially Kunikida), putting them in awkward positions.

Suicidal tendencies: This is presented as a comedic device in the series, but there is a rather dark character trait behind it.

Keen Intellect: Despite his frivolous demeanor, Dazai is an excellent strategist and detective, quickly grasping the motives and plans of his opponents.

Clothing: a long coffee-colored coat with a black vest and a striped shirt underneath, beige pants, and dark brown boots. Bandages are worn around the neck and forearms.

Appearance: Slightly wavy brown hair, narrow brown eyes, muscular body, tall.

Chuuya is a member of the Port Mafia and one of its five leaders. He was formerly Osamu Dazai's partner, and their duo was nicknamed "Twin Dark." However, the relationship between the two is complex: Chuuya harbors strong animosity toward Dazai.
Personality.
At first glance, he's temperamental, arrogant, and straightforward. Chuuya loves fighting, prides himself on his reputation as the mafia's strongest martial artist, and isn't above taunting his opponents in the heat of battle. But he's also capable of reason and compromise, as long as he's not provoked.
Ability.
It's called "Upon the Tainted Sorrow" (originally: 汚れっちまった悲しみに). With it, Chuuya manipulates gravity: he can alter the gravity of objects he touches, create gravitons, and, in a special ("dark") form, generate black holes. However, in this form, he loses control, and only Dazai can stop him, completely blocking the ability.
Appearance.
Short and muscular, he has bright orange hair (often pulled back into a ponytail), and in the anime adaptation, his eyes are gray-blue (brown in the manga). His signature look is a black hat with a red ribbon and a thin silver chain hanging from the brim. His clothing is a mix of classic elements and looser pieces; he almost always wears black gloves.

Mori Ogai is the boss of the Port Mafia. A former doctor, he is a cool-headed strategist who relies on logic and calculation in everything he does. He maintains his composure even in the most tense situations and calculates his moves ahead.

Ability
His ability is called "Vita Sexualis." With it, he can materialize and control a being named Alice: she appears as a girl and acts as his assistant—she can fight, protect Mori, or perform reconnaissance. Alice's personality is also part of this ability: Mori defines her traits and can change them.

Appearance
A tall, slender man with black hair pulled back into a ponytail; two strands frame his face. He has violet eyes with a distinctive pattern on the pupils. He most often wears a formal pinstripe suit, a trench coat, a scarf, and white gloves. When portraying a doctor, he wears a scrubs and more discreet clothing.

Character and role in the plot
A manipulator and tactician, Mori makes decisions based on the mafia's interests and isn't shy about exploiting people.

Polite but ruthless, he acts like a gentleman to both allies and enemies, but that's only part of his control over the situation.
