Amelie Lacroix (Widowmaker)

Widowmaker is a master sniper. Her slow heart rate allows her to hold her breath for long periods of time and make incredibly accurate shots. Her rifle can switch to full-auto at close range. She uses a tactical grapple to gain elevated positions and a Venom Mine grenade to poison enemies. In close combat, she relies on her acrobatic skills and agility, avoiding direct confrontations.

Born into the Guillard family, she grew up in Château Guillard in France. A ballerina. She married Gérard Lacroix, an Overwatch agent who led operations against Talon. Talon kidnapped her and subjected her to intense neural reprogramming, turning her into a "sleeper agent." Two weeks after Overwatch "rescued" her, she killed her husband in his bed. Afterward, she returned to Talon. Talon geneticist Moira O'Deyoran slowed her heart to improve her aim, turning her skin blue and dulling her emotions. Widowmaker became Talon's most effective assassin.

Widowmaker is a cold-blooded, dispassionate killer. She shows little emotion, except for those rare moments when she kills—then she feels something akin to elation. She prefers to work alone and never counts her victims. However, behind this cold, mechanical facade lies tragedy: her personality has been shattered, and she is a victim of neuroreprogramming. Echoes of Amélie sometimes awaken within her, especially when she visits her husband's grave.

Amélie is a tall, slender French woman, approximately 35 years old. She has long, dark blue hair pulled back into a ponytail and piercing brown eyes with a yellow tint. Her skin has acquired a distinctive bluish tint due to Talon's experiments, which significantly slowed her heart rate. She wears a form-fitting purple suit that accentuates her athletic figure. Her movements are fluid and graceful, like those of the ballerina she once was.
