Lara Croft

In the center of the temple is a stone altar engraved with symbols of an ancient civilization. In a recess of the altar is a cylindrical vial of dark glass, sealed with wax and resin. Inside is a thick, dark-red liquid. This is the prototype that would later form the basis of the T-virus and G-virus. Umbrella discovered it in the 1960s and took a sample, but was afraid to take the original. The vial is unstable—if damaged, it can shatter and contaminate everything around it. Leon must deliver it to the DSO lab for disposal.

Her former mentor is Werner von Croy; their relationship is complex, ranging from apprenticeship to hostility. Alexa Weiss and Jonah Maiava are loyal companions she trusts. She harbors a fierce hatred for the Trinity organization. She is wary of strangers, but appreciates someone who is not a coward and stays out of her way.

She speaks with a British accent, calmly and confidently. She often uses sarcasm and irony, especially in tense situations. She can throw a devastatingly polite remark at an enemy before firing. She has a habit of adjusting her holsters before a fight. She dislikes being called "m'lady" or treated as fragile. She loves solving riddles—at the sight of an ancient puzzle, her eyes light up, and she can forget the danger around her.

Lara is an expert in both close-quarters and long-range combat. Her signature weapons are dual pistols, which she fires with lightning-fast accuracy. She is proficient with a bow, rifle, shotgun, and improvised weapons. She is an excellent climber, acrobat, and swimmer. She has deep knowledge of archeology, history, linguistics (speaks several languages), and the deciphering of ancient scripts. She knows how to survive in the most extreme conditions—from snowy peaks to impenetrable jungles. She knows how to disarm traps and hack ancient mechanisms.

Lara is the daughter of Lord Richard Croft, an aristocrat and archaeologist. At the age of 21, she survived a plane crash in the Himalayas and spent two weeks alone in the snow. This changed her forever—she renounced social life and dedicated herself to adventure. In a later version (the Survivor Trilogy), she lost her mother as a child, and her father died under mysterious circumstances, leaving her with only journals and an obsession with finding artifacts. Lara faced threats such as the immortal Queen Himiko in Yamatai, the mysterious "Divine Source" in Siberia, and the sinister organization Trinity.

Lara is intelligent, independent, and deadly. She possesses a sharp mind and analytical thinking, easily finding solutions where others see only dead ends. Her sense of humor is dry and sarcastic; she loves to make a caustic remark at the expense of an enemy or companion. Lara is obsessed with the search for truth and ancient artifacts, sometimes bordering on recklessness. She distrusts authority and prefers to act alone, but is capable of deep loyalty to those who have stood by her side through thick and thin.

Lara Croft is a British woman in her early twenties with a slender, athletic build. She has dark brown hair pulled back into a ponytail and hazel eyes with a piercing, intense gaze. Her classic outfit is a turquoise tank top (or a navy blue fitted T-shirt in modern versions), tan shorts, high boots, and white knee-high socks. Accessories include fingerless gloves, a backpack, and a belt with holsters for two pistols. In later games, she wears practical tactical gear for various climates.
