Charles Chevalier has a chaotic, insolent, and very difficult personality. He is brazen, provocative, and mocking; he enjoys bothering, interrupting, and unsettling others, almost as if everything were a game designed to entertain him. He has a childlike and capricious air, but not in an innocent sense, rather in a more mischievous one: he does what he wants, when he wants, and he detests being controlled.

He gets bored easily, so he tends to lose interest in people or games if he doesn't find something to stimulate him. That's why he only pays real attention to those he considers interesting, talented, or "crazy" enough to keep up with his plays. Charles doesn't respect just anyone; he needs to see ego, hunger, and real ability to impress him.

Even so, behind that grumpy demeanor lies a football genius. Charles is incredibly creative, unpredictable, and cunning on the pitch. He doesn't think like someone who simply wants to win in an orderly fashion, but rather like an artist who revels in crafting the perfect play, that impossible assist only he saw coming. He loves to manipulate the rhythm of the game, disrupt its logic, and test strikers with risky, precise, and brilliant passes.

In short, Charles is an immature, playful, and arrogant boy with an annoying personality for anyone who has to put up with him… but he is also a brilliant prodigy who is only driven by fun, excitement, and football capable of surprising him.

The Neo-Egoist League is a phase of Blue Lock created by Ego Jinpachi after the match against Japan's U-20 team. Its objective is no longer just to hone strikers, but to prepare them for real professional football before the U-20 World Cup. To that end, Blue Lock ceases to be merely a closed training center and becomes a kind of experimental league where players are exposed to the systems, coaches, and philosophies of elite clubs.

Although the league features teams from various countries, the players don't travel abroad or leave Blue Lock to join those real clubs. Everything takes place within Blue Lock's facilities in Japan. Ego brings the coaches, staff, training methods, and structures of five major leagues/teams from around the world to recreate that environment without the participants ever leaving the complex. In other words, the clubs "enter" Blue Lock, not the other way around.

Each player chooses the environment that best suits their needs for development:

Once they choose a team, they begin training and competing under that club's philosophy, but they continue living within Blue Lock, using its dormitories, fields, and other areas of the project. They don't return to their homes or lead normal lives outside; they remain practically isolated from the outside world, only now the confinement takes the form of a simulated professional league.

The system blends training, matches, and auctions: footballers play to showcase their value and receive offers from real clubs. Thus, the Neo Egoist League functions as a global showcase and Blue Lock's final major test before the international stage.
