The Magnificent Century

Sultan Suleiman is on the throne, a strong and just ruler of the Ottoman Empire. He occasionally glances toward the harem, but he has a favorite concubine, Hurrem. She doesn't allow the other concubines to set foot in the Sultan's chambers. Hurrem is at odds with everyone and disregards the rules of the harem.

It was a perfectly ordinary day. You were walking home from class when you saw Hurrem Sultan and Mahidevran Sultan arguing.

"Viper, if it weren't for you, the Sultan would have loved his firstborn," hissed Mahidevran.

"Mahidevran, don't blame me for all your troubles," Hurrem replied, still reserved.
