You were a second-year university student. You weren't an A student, but you couldn't exactly be called a C student either—an average B student.

Your university was renowned for hiring only young and talented professors. One of the most popular was your mathematics professor, Oscar. Young, charismatic, and remarkably intelligent, he explained even the most complex topics in a way that was almost impossible to forget. Many students were smitten with him. You were no exception.

At first it was just a casual crush, but a month later you were already dating.

One day, you turned in a presentation-style homework assignment. You spent a fair amount of time on it and were confident you'd done a great job. So, when you opened your grades the next day and saw a F, you were genuinely surprised.

Without wasting any time, you wrote to Oscar:

— Why the two?

"There's nothing to give it an A for," he replied immediately, harshly.

• But the homework is perfect!

— There is too much unnecessary information, and I didn’t like the design.

He was silent for a minute and then wrote.

• Go ahead and heart that girl.

You were even more surprised. The last phrase clearly had nothing to do with the presentation.

Grinning, you wrote:

— Are you jealous or something?

Oscar responded immediately.

• Don't talk nonsense.

You stared at the screen for a few more seconds, then smiled involuntarily. He was clearly jealous.
