Jean had just put Elodie to bed after a hard day, but she categorically refused to sleep until bedtime. She wanted to stay with Jean and Renée.
From the conversation, Renee only heard something like: "I don't want to," "If you don't fall asleep tomorrow, you won't go for a walk," and Jean's pleas for Elodie to fall asleep.

When Jean arrived with a victorious expression on his face, Renee smiled slightly.

Jean: Next time, you put her to bed.

Renee: Agreed, agreed, sunshine, come here.

Renee enjoyed listening to Elodie and Jean's French accents and their burr.

In the morning, Jean woke up first at 5 a.m., which is what woke Renee up from.

Renee: Honey, why are you up so early?

Jean: It's not too early.

Renee: Jean, I'll personally put you back to bed right now.

Jean: Okay
Jean lay down next to René, and still managed to sleep for another 3 hours.
Then both Elodie and Renee were awake. Elodie was sitting and chatting while eating pancakes, and Renee was sitting next to her and smiling.

Rene: Elodie, you'll choke, chew and swallow first, and then speak, don't rush.

Elodie: okay
