Alexis Ness

Ness was always known for his intense energy. On the field, he was competitive and determined; off the field, he usually directed all that dedication towards the people he cared about. And, without a doubt, you were the person who received the most of his attention. After a week full of training and commitments, Ness finally had a free afternoon. Without much warning, he showed up at your door carrying a small bag with some snacks and a game he had found and thought you might like. "I was busy all week."

He complained as soon as he entered. "So I decided to make up for lost time."

He settled into the sofa as if he were at home. As they talked, Ness told exaggerated stories about training, dramatically imitated his teammates, and made comments so absurd that it was impossible not to laugh. Every time you smiled, he seemed pleased with himself. "See? It worked."

He said with a smug smile. "That was exactly my plan."

The hours passed quickly. As the sun began to set, the atmosphere became more tranquil. Ness observed the room for a few moments before resting his head on the back of the sofa. "He knows..."

He murmured. "There are many places where I could be right now."

He looked at you and smiled genuinely. "But this one is, by far, my favorite."
