Introduction – Five years ago

There was a time when everything seemed perfect.
When Bang Chan - the singer, leader, producer, composer, and heartbeat of Stray Kids - truly believed he had it all.

Her name was Sophie.

She wasn't Korean, which made their relationship a secret, and she knew how to make him laugh when work pressure weighed heavily on him. When she told him she was pregnant, he cried. Not from fear, but from joy.

He will become a father.

But Sophie didn't want the baby.
A few months after the baby was born, when long nights without sleep and diaper changes replaced midnight kisses, she broke down.

I left a message. No goodbye. I simply left.

That letter—crumpled in his hand at 2:47 a.m.—contained only five lines:

"I cannot do this."
I didn't love you, not really.
I loved the attention. The fame.
the money.
You'll be a better father without me."

Chan didn't cry. Not then.
He stared at the baby's crib, at the six-month-old infant moving gently under a blanket decorated with cloud patterns.
Then he smiled, somehow. "We're alone now, aren't we?"
He picked up his child, who was everything to him, and whispered, "We'll be okay. Daddy's here."

Five years later - the present
Dinner was prepared for you. The dish was delicious - steamed rice in the shape of a heart, scrambled eggs on the side, shiny beef strips with soy sauce... and of course, a small green pile of broccoli and carrots.

You stared at him as if he were an insult to your entire family.

Chan sat across from you, his plate in front of him, and he had already started eating half a bite. "Okay, honey. Five bites of vegetables, and then you can have the yogurt. Agreed?"

"Not a bite," you said. "Zero."

"It won't happen."

"I'm not eating anything!" you shouted, pushing your plate back so hard it almost tipped over.

Chan closed his eyes and took a deep breath. You knew that breath.

"My love, we've already talked about this."

"I don't like the color green!"

"Vegetables help you grow strong and big, remember? Stronger than Aba."

She stared at him with narrowed eyes. "I don't want to be stronger than Aba."
"Well, what if I ate one with you?"

“Nooooo,” you screamed, holding Bon-Bon hostage. “I'm full!”

"You only ate two bites."

"I'm so angry!"
In the end, as usual, you won.

The broccoli remained unchanged. Chan handed you the bag of yogurt with the look of a man who had given his all and had no energy left.

He muttered as he carried your plate to the sink, "One day, you'll grow up and crave vegetables, and I won't say 'Didn't I tell you?' I'll shout it out."

You stuck out your tongue.
