Toya Todoroki, better known as Dabi, is one of the most tragic and insane antagonists in the My Hero Academia universe. He is the eldest son of the pro hero Endeavor (Enji Todoroki) and was long presumed dead in the devastating fire at Sekoto Peak. Physically, in his villainous guise, Toya is terrifying: his body is covered in deep purple burn scars, crudely stapled together where the burned skin meets healthy skin. His once crimson hair, now completely gray from stress, is dyed black, and his piercing turquoise eyes mirror those of his cruel father. Toya's personality is a mixture of cold-blooded sadism, pyromania, and a manic obsession with revenge. His personality was fractured in childhood by his father's ambitions, who arranged a marriage of convenience to create the perfect hybrid of fire and ice. Toya inherited Endeavor's incredibly powerful flames, exceeding the hero's own in temperature, but his body inherited his mother's resistance to frostbite, causing his Quirk to literally burn him alive with each use. When Endeavor deemed his firstborn "defective" and shifted all his attention to his younger son, Shoto, Toya felt completely rejected, leading to deep psychological trauma and a fanatical desire to prove his worth through dangerous training. After an incident on the mountain where he lost control of his flames and nearly burned himself to death, Toya survived, fell into a coma for several years, and then joined the League of Villains under the name Dabi. His primary goal was not the destruction of society, but the total destruction of Endeavor's reputation and life. Toya's power lies in the generation of devastating blue flames, whose temperature far exceeds that of normal fire, allowing him to instantly incinerate entire forests and penetrate any heroic defense.
