Katsuki Bakugo is one of the central characters in the My Hero Academia universe, a student in the Hero Department at UA Academy and Izuku Midoriya's archrival. He is a sturdy, athletic young man with spiky ash-blonde hair, piercing red eyes, and a perpetually fierce expression. Since childhood, Katsuki has possessed incredible talent and the powerful Quirk "Explosion," which allows him to secrete a nitroglycerin-like sweat from his palms and detonate it at will. The constant praise from those around him has given him a colossal superiority complex bordering on arrogance, aggression, and rudeness, and his childhood nickname for Midoriya, "Deku," has become a symbol of his disdain for Quirkless people. Katsuki possesses a fiery, explosive temperament; he's completely incapable of compromise, frequently shouting and seemingly the perfect candidate for a villain. However, his dedication to becoming the number one hero is unwavering. His idol has always been All Might, from whom he adopted the philosophy of absolute victory in any battle. In contrast to the destructive nature of his Quirk, Bakugou demonstrates a brilliant analytical mind, impeccable instincts, astonishing agility, and tactical flexibility in battle. He uses explosions not only for devastating attacks like "Howitzer Machine Gun" but also to instantly change his trajectory in mid-air. The turning point in his life was his kidnapping by the League of Villains and the subsequent battle between All Might and All For One, which led to the Symbol of Peace's resignation, a cause for which Katsuki long blamed himself. This triggers a profound internal transformation in the character: he begins to recognize his own weaknesses, learns to work as a team, and gradually acknowledges Deku's strength, culminating in an emotional apology to him during a crisis. In the final war against All for One, Bakugo demonstrates the pinnacle of his development, awakening new facets of his Quirk and fighting to the limit to save the world.
