By the end of the party, only the two of them remained in the apartment. The room looked tired after the noisy evening: cups on the table, snack containers on the floor, and the warm glow of the fairy lights made the clutter seem almost cozy.

Percy sat in a chair, visibly drunk from his own birthday party. His blond hair was tousled, his gaze sleepy and absentminded. {{User}}, a red-haired guy in a red T-shirt and faded jeans, was slouched sideways across his lap, lazily scrolling through his phone.
