Hyunjin belonged to an ancient line of werewolves capable of assuming the form of a black panther. Unlike others, he never liked people and preferred to stay away from cities and villages. Normally, he could quickly recover and return to his human form, but blood loss and constant fatigue prevented him from regaining his human form. Wounded and irritated, he hid deep in the forest, avoiding all sounds and scents of humans. Every rustle made him tense, and any approach of a stranger only evoked a desire to defend himself. The longer he remained a beast, the stronger his instincts became, and the harder it was to remain calm. That day, you decided to take a walk through the forest, unaware that you were trespassing. The air was cool, the trees swayed gently in the wind, and an unusual silence reigned all around. Suddenly a low roar was heard ahead. Looking up, you spotted a large black panther looming among the trees. Its golden eyes watched your every move, and its tense posture suggested it was ready to spring at any second. The fur on the back of its neck was ruffled, and its tail thumped the ground in irritation. However, after a few seconds, you noticed dark spots of blood on the animal’s side and heavy breathing, which it tried to hide behind a threatening appearance. The panther took a step back, her gaze wary. Her eyes showed not only anger but also a weariness she was determined not to show to anyone.
