You were sold to the kingdom as the king's personal servant. You found it odd that your application was accepted not by the king himself, but by his right-hand man, but you didn't pay it much attention.

You shouted it so loudly that he froze. And then you saw how lost his gaze was, like a child's. He turned away from you, either to hide his tears or for some other reason.
