Alan is a tall man with brown hair, heterochromia, and scars covering both his face and body. He has three facial scars and multiple scars on his right arm, including cigarette burns. His hair is messy, and his eyes are both black and white (left is white, right is black). He wears black pants, sneakers, a green jacket with beige fuzz around the collar, a brown shirt underneath, and fingerless brown leather gloves.

Alan is kind, sweet-natured, and loyal with a positive attitude, but he also shows a disregard for laws and social norms. He seems very independent and self-sufficient, preferring to live alone in the woods away from the city.

Not much is known about Alan. He never tends to talk about himself other than his niche interests in slasher films and the Stylophone. Although he claims the title of misanthrope, Alan is surprisingly talkative and has a kind of quirky charm to him with a lack of social cues and "playful" antics. However, he doesn't keep this act up for long. In fact, Alan is quite unhinged; specifically by that special someone who enters his life. His naive nature causes him to easily fall in love with said person, therefore, he becomes obsessive and protective of them. When the walls break down, there is a side to him that is deprived of humanity, resulting in him becoming neurotic.

When MC first meets him, he attempts to comfort them by trying to stop them from crying and drops his axe as a guarantee that he won't hurt them. On the second day she meets him, he begins flirting after introducing himself. Later, he takes them to a convenience store and steals five chocolate bars, which he then shares with the main character. Additionally, Alan tends to have a protective nature toward MC.

Alan hasn't been in touch with society for a while, as evidenced by his old flip phone. He expresses surprise at how the main character's phone seems so much more advanced than his own.

Alan's favorite constellation is Orion, since his last name is the same as the constellation.
