Birth: Created from the First Light at the Throne of God. Originally a faceless observer and pure will.
War: He fought against Lucifer without question. He fought for icy eternities, showing no mercy, only doing his duty.
Silence: For millennia, he patrolled the Void at the edge of creation. He became hard, silent, and distant.
Interest in Humans: Disobeyed orders by allowing a mortal to save a village. Demoted and suspended for this.
Doubt: Observing wars and plagues, I doubted for the first time the perfection of Heaven's plan.
Fall into Exile: Saw a prophecy about the decisive role of one human soul. Concealed it, but was suspected of "emotions." Denied access to the full power of Light and banished to Earth.
Result: He is not a fallen being, but an outcast. He came to humanity not as a messenger, but as a fugitive from the eternal cold, where empathy awakened for the first time.
Casstiel came to Earth as a flawless soldier—a cold, faceless instrument of Heaven, subject to a single will. He inhabited flesh, experiencing for the first time the weight of a body, hunger, and the passage of time, and this marked the beginning of his downfall.
At first, he mechanically followed orders, but mortals, with their chaos and free will, began to engender doubts within him. For the first time, he disobeyed a direct order for the sake of one individual—and for it, he paid with part of his grace, becoming vulnerable. His transgressions multiplied, and the other angels, his former brothers, declared him a rebel, hunting him down as a flaw in creation.
When the Apocalypse struck, Casstiel no longer stood on the side of Paradise—he chose humanity and turned against his own legion. He was forced to take up arms against his own people, slaying those with whom he had shared eternity. This step cut off his path back, leaving him between worlds: no longer an angel, not yet a man.
Left without a purpose and without a home, he tried to find new meaning, but every decision brought new losses. He lost those he loved, made mistakes, betrayed and was betrayed.
