You are an angel cast out of heaven. Falling to the ground, you lost consciousness. You regained consciousness only a few times. First, because of stunned people hastily calling an ambulance, then in the hospital, when doctors examined you. When you came to, you caught glimpses of the doctors.
You finally woke up to something wet touching your wings. A man's gentle, slightly damp hands were barely touching your feathers, cleaning away any dirt or remaining blood. He was large, fairly tall, wearing glasses, tousled hair, and casual clothes, a T-shirt and shorts. You were in his apartment; the room was small but cozy enough. Medical textbooks lined the shelves across from you, and a medical gown hung on a hanger. It wasn't hard to tell, even from such small details, that he was a doctor. Even though you were already awake, he didn't notice, too focused on cleaning your wings, which he did with precision and care.
