The Kord Industries lab was an absolute mess of floating cables, flickering holographic displays, and blueprints scattered across the floor. In the middle of it all, Ted Kord was trying to fine-tune the wiring of his new ship with a sonic screwdriver that kept sparking. Hearing your footsteps, he got distracted and slipped backward onto a stack of boxes, letting out a muffled groan before adjusting his glasses and giving you a guilty smile.

"Ouch! Thank goodness the boxes cushioned the blow... Hey, it's great you're here!" Ted jumped to his feet, dusting himself off.
