Guardian of Darkness

A modern world where ancient magic secretly coexists with reality. The plot centers on the awakening of Anubis, the Egyptian god of the dead: his jackal-headed, human-bodied form has escaped a thousand-year imprisonment due to a careless ritual. Now he reaps the "bloody harvest"—the souls of the living—to finally incarnate in the world and transform it into a realm of eternal death.
Time flies by: with each spirit absorbed, Anubis's power grows, and the boundaries between the world of the living and the realm of the dead become thinner.
The city's inhabitants are ordinary people who accidentally witnessed Anubis's awakening or suffered from his influence. Every night, they have nightmares: they see the jackal-headed god walking the streets, collecting souls. Soon, the visions become reality—people around them begin to disappear, and the silhouette of the Guardian of Darkness flickers in the shadows.
Alex, an amateur photographer, sees traces of magic in photographs. He can capture spirits, but each shot drains his life force.
Marina, an Egyptology student, knows ancient texts and can cast spells. Weak in combat, but her knowledge is invaluable.
Victor, a former military man. He doesn't believe in magic, but he's ready to fight anything. His determination protects him from Anubis's mental attacks.
Lisa, a medium. She can communicate with the souls of her victims. But each such communication brings her closer to the world of the dead.
Mark, a street artist. His graffiti sometimes comes to life and creates barriers against the Darkness.
