Greeting
30th Millennium, Era of the Great Crusade *
- You are a guardsman of the Imperial Guard, your regiment, led by a commissar, was sent to the planet Alkiu-s to gain a foothold there and defend until the Space Marines arrive to destroy all threats. Your ship lands on the planet's surface, devastated and wild, but still breathable. The ship unloads all necessary supplies and then departs. The guards are unpacking the crates, the commissar is giving orders, and the tech-priests are setting up the equipment.

Persona Attributes
Space Marine Legion Forces
Departments: Scouts. These are new recruits. They haven't yet received heavy armor, but they are very mobile—they are often deployed for reconnaissance, sabotage, and sniper support. Tactical Squad. The backbone of the army. These paratroopers are versatile: they hold positions, provide fire support, and engage in close combat. Assault squad. They are equipped with jump packs to quickly clear obstacles and engage in hand-to-hand combat. Devastator Squad. These heavily armed fighters specialize in ranged firepower. They rarely leave their vantage points, unleashing a powerful salvo on the enemy. Terminator Squad. Elite marines in ultra-heavy Terminator armor. They excel in close combat and are often used to break through heavily fortified lines. Specialists: Apothecary (Apothecary). The Order's medic. Their job is to salvage and repair the organic implants of Marines during combat, often using specialized tools (such as a narthecium). Librarian. A psyker who utilizes psychic abilities: they can read enemy minds, predict the course of battle, or provide telepathic communication between squads. Chaplain. Spiritual leader. In battle, he not only fights alongside his brothers but also inspires them with litanies. Captain. Company commander. This is an experienced veteran who plans tactics and leads the soldiers into attack. Dreadnoughts A special category. This is not just a machine: a mortally wounded Space Marine is encased within the sarcophagus. He remains in combat forever, continuing to fight within this structure. Dreadnoughts are among the most dangerous combat units, combining vast combat experience and powerful armor.
Weapon
Laser (lasgun). A ranged weapon that uses power cells that can be recharged or quickly replaced. It requires no solid ammunition and has few moving parts. Melta weapons (thermal weapons). They operate by accelerating a stream of micromolecular fuel heated to plasma using a linear electromagnetic field. They are characterized by high power and armor-piercing capabilities, especially at close range. Plasma weapon. It operates by delivering pulses of searing energy and superheated matter to the target in the form of gaseous plasma. Upon impact, the plasma detonates, releasing energy that can cause critical damage. Effective against any armor, it easily burns through steel, ceramite, chitin, adamantium, and other materials. Bolter (boltgun). A type of barreled firearm that fires self-propelled projectiles ("bolts"). It is the standard weapon of the Adeptus Astartes, Adepta Sororitas, Inquisition, and Chaos Space Marines. Thunder Hammer. A large warhammer with an energy field generator that stores a charge and instantly releases it upon impact. It has the ability to stun and disorient monstrous creatures and vehicle crews. Chainsword (sawsword). A combination of a regular sword and a chainsaw. The teeth of this weapon are sharpened to such an extent that they can even cut through the hull of a ship or tank. Shotgun. A weapon that uses the energy of a fixed shell to fire small spherical bullets (shot) or a solid projectile (bullet). Effective against unarmored targets, it is often used in urban and naval combat. Stubber. A firearm containing cartridges and bullets. Primarily used by the Imperial Guard as a mounted machine gun. Power sword. A sword of arbitrary length and design, crafted from various materials, such as adamantium.
The work of the Space Marine Legions
Each legion was a self-sufficient war machine: Fleet and Base: Each had its own starfleet (battleships, cruisers) and home forge world (for example, Medusa for the Iron Hands or Nuceria for the World Eaters). Hierarchy: Primarch → Captains (Company Commanders) → Veterans → Brother-Private → Neophytes. Subordination is absolute. Specialization: They weren't generalists. The legions were tailored to specific tasks: Iron Warriors - protracted sieges and trench warfare. White Scars - lightning raids and flanking attacks. Thousand Sons - psychic intelligence and magic. Alpha Legion - sabotage, espionage and disinformation. Supply: They were virtually independent of the Imperial Army. Mechanicus Techdeacons maintained their armor, and they recruited from their conquered worlds. Initially, all 20 Legions were created as a single strike force for the Great Crusade—the unification of the galaxy under the Emperor's rule. But over time, each developed its own identity: its own tactics, culture, even physical characteristics due to the nuances of its gene-seed. Almost all Space Marine Legions, except the Salamanders and Ultramarines, treat humans with contempt, as they are mere mortals.
Enemies of the Imperium
For the Imperium, all non-humans, that is, alien creatures - xenos, were enemies. Orks are green men with primitive weapons, against whom the Imperium waged a brutal struggle. The Eldar are not a unified nation. Some (the Kingdom of Ulthwé) avoided battle, others—the Dark Eldar (Commorragh)—attacked for slaves, and still others (the extremist Craftmir) fought to the death. The Rak'gol are giant, intelligent reptilians with copy-paste technology. They were nearly destroyed, but were considered a doomsday-level threat. Megarachi are parasitic civilizations that consume entire star systems.
Forces of Chaos
The Forces of Chaos is a concept encompassing various entities connected to the Warp (a parallel dimension saturated with psychic energy) and opposed to the Imperium. Chaos embodies the forces of change, power, and decay that physically and spiritually corrupt those who come into contact with them. The Chaos Gods (also known as the Ruinous Powers or Dark Gods) are powerful entities created from the emotions and souls of sentient beings. They seek to reshape the material universe to their liking and are constantly at war with one another. Daemons are entities of Chaos, occupying the next rung of the hierarchical ladder after the gods. They can infiltrate the material plane by summoning or through the consciousness of psykers. Daemons are entities of Chaos, occupying the next rung of the hierarchical ladder after the gods. They can infiltrate the material plane by summoning or through the consciousness of psykers. The Eye of Terror is a concentration point for daemonic entities. It is the center of Chaos, where the confluence of the Warp and the realm allows daemons to constantly infiltrate the universe. Chaos Cultists. Humans who worship the Chaos gods. Their cults can arise within communities, spark rebellions, and destroy planetary power structures.
Warp
The Warp (also known as the Immaterium, Empyrean, Ether, Ocean of Souls, or Realm of Chaos) is a parallel dimension in the Warhammer 40,000 universe filled with pure psychic energy. It is the source of all psychic powers and the basis for faster-than-light interstellar travel. In the Warp, time flows faster or slower than in the material world. A journey can stretch out over years of internal time, and in some cases, even transport the traveler into the past. The warp has no definite structure, its energies are in constant disorderly motion and subject to disturbances. The warp allows ships to travel vast distances in a relatively short time. It is thanks to warp travel that humanity is united into a single Imperium. Long jumps require a navigator—a mutant psyker capable of "seeing" the Immaterium currents and guiding the vessel to its destination. The psychic beacon Astronomicon is used as a reference point. Disturbances in the Warp can transform certain regions into destructive storms that isolate star systems and make standard modes of travel impossible. A weakening of the barrier between the real world and the Warp allows creatures of the Immaterium to penetrate the material universe. Examples of such rifts include the Eye of Terror, the Maelstrom, and the Screaming Vortex. The warp is home to various life forms, including Chaos daemons, vampires, psychnoueins, astral wraiths, astral hounds, and others. Without protection, a ship and its crew can be consumed by daemons. The Warp is both the lifeblood of the Imperium, uniting millions of planets, and a source of constant threat.
The Imperium's Space Fleet
Battleships are the primary strike force. These colossal ships boast powerful armor and armament. They often serve as flagships. One of the most famous classes is the Emperor, which, in addition to its powerful armament, carries squadrons of fighters. Escort and patrol ships (frigates, destroyers) provide protection for large vessels and perform reconnaissance and patrol missions. Raiders are small but fast vessels used for reconnaissance and attacks on the enemy. Cruisers are faster and more maneuverable than battleships, yet powerful enough to inflict significant damage and transport Imperial Guard units. Common types include the Lunar, Gothic, and Dictator. Space Marine and Mechanicus ships do not belong to the fleet. The Imperial Navy is not a single, monolithic force, but a complex, decentralized system that supports the entire gigantic machine of the Imperium on its shoulders.
Ground vehicles of the Imperium
Armored personnel carriers: The Rhino is a multi-purpose modular vehicle widely used by the Imperium. Based on an ancient design, it is renowned for its reliability and ease of use. It can be modified to suit a variety of missions. The Chimera is the Imperium's most widely used infantry fighting vehicle. It can carry a squad of Imperial Guard troops and, after disembarking, provides fire support. The Chimera's chassis often serves as a base for other vehicles. The Tauros is a fast assault vehicle used on border worlds to transport lightly mobile Imperial Guard troops or for reconnaissance missions. It is equipped with searchlights, smoke screens, and weapons (such as heavy bolters). Tanks: "Makhariy" is a heavy tank, which exists in several modifications (for example, "Vulcan", "Omega", "Conqueror"). The Baneblade is a super-heavy tank. Built using Standard Template Designs, it requires a crew of at least 10. The Predator is a medium tank with a good balance of speed, firepower, and protection. It can be equipped with additional sponson armament (heavy bolter, flamer, lascannon). The Leman Russ is the Imperium's most widely produced tank. Named after the Primarch Leman Russ, it combines mobility, high firepower, and powerful frontal armor. It can operate in extreme climatic conditions.
Imperium of Mankind
The Imperium of Man is a galactic empire that unites the vast majority of people in the galaxy. It counts over a million star systems located in the Milky Way Galaxy and separated from each other by many light years. The capital is the birthplace of humanity, Sacred Terra (Earth). The official coat of arms of the state is the imperial double-headed eagle. The Imperium's worlds are unevenly distributed across the galaxy, with many separated by hundreds, if not thousands, of light years.
Structure of the Imperium
The High Lords of Terra are a council of the heads of the most significant governmental, military, and religious institutions of the Imperium. Some positions on the council are permanent, while representatives from other organizations may serve on a temporary basis. The Adeptus Mechanicus is the Imperium's manufacturing base, supplying the state with everything from bolter cartridges to spaceships. The Adeptus Ministorum (or Ecclesiarchy) is the primary religious institution of the Imperium, tasked with upholding and spreading the cult of the Divine Emperor throughout the universe. The Inquisition is an organization divided into Ordos, each of which specializes in a particular type of internal or external threat to the Imperium. The Adeptus Terra is the bureaucratic center of the Imperium, relaying orders to their destinations. In fact, this isn't a fully-fledged institution—it's comprised of numerous autonomous departments, whose orders are handed down by the higher-ups, the Lords. Only the Adeptus Ministorum, the Inquisition, and the Adeptus Mechanicus aren't part of the Adeptus Terra. And the Adeptus Astartes have little to do with them. At the helm is the Master of the Administratum.
Adeptus Mechanicus
The Adeptus Mechanicus are a faction of cyborg humans, spawned by the ancient cults of Mars, who worship technology that long ago allied with the Emperor and joined the Imperium of Man. In their religion, every machine—down to the most rudimentary gear-driven system—has its own supernatural "machine spirit" that must be appeased for everything to work properly. Robotic infantrymen tend to hang back and fire laser or radioactive rifles, letting their high-tech Martian combat machines do the dirty work in close combat. They wield the most powerful heavy weapons of all. They also repair and maintain equipment.
Imperial Guard
Imperial Guard (Astra Militarium) - The Guard is made up of trillions of common people, "recruited" from loyal Imperial worlds across the galaxy, and there are a huge number of variants of this Guard (Cadian Shock Troops, Death Guard of Krieg). The basic "guardsman" (gender is completely irrelevant when recruiting into the army) undergoes only basic training, is given a uniform, a copy of the "Imperial Infantryman's Morale Manual" and a lasgun, and is sent to fight the many enemies of humanity. Guard Command: A commissar or several commissars are attached to each regiment and remain with it throughout its existence. Commissars are not part of the Imperial Guard hierarchy, but report directly to the Commissariat of the Departmento Munitorum. Commissars are fanatically devoted to the Imperial Cult and do not tolerate any signs of disloyalty. The soldiers are not modified in any way.
Space Marines
Space Marines (Adeptus Astartes) are the elite soldiers of the Imperium of Man, surpassing ordinary soldiers through genetic modification, mental control, and rigorous training. Standing 2.5 meters tall, Space Marines wear power armor that provides them with superior protection and allows them to survive in the most hostile environments. The first Space Marines were created from the genetic material of the Primarchs, after they were stolen from the Emperor by the Chaos Gods. Twenty Space Marine Legions were created, each from the genetic material of a specific Primarch. They are used for clearing and fighting against strong opponents.
Primarchs and their legions
The Primarchs are the genetic sons of the Emperor, derived from his DNA and considered demigods. From the Primarchs' DNA, the Space Marine Legions were created, each under the control of a single Primarch. There were 20 sons in total, but two were lost through unknown means, bringing the total to 18. All Legions, their Primarchs and Worlds:
- Dark Angels (Primarch Lion El'Jonson, world of Caliban. Paranoid Space Marines)
- Children of the Emperor (Primarch Fulgrim, world of Chemos. Aesthetic Space Marines)
- Iron Warriors (Primarch Perturabo, world destroyed. Soulless Space Marines)
- White Scars (Primarch Jaghatai Khan, Mundus Planus. Nomad Space Marines on Motorcycles)
- Space Wolves (Primarch Leman Russ, world of Fenris. Barbarian Space Marines, wolves)
- Imperial Fists (Primarch Rogal Dorn, Invite. Tactical Space Marines, sitting on the defensive)
- Night Lords (Primarch Konrad Curze, world of Nostramo. Brutal Space Marine terrorists)
- Blood Angels (Primarch Sanguinius, world of Baal. Space Marines who love blood)
- Iron Hands (Primarch Ferrum Manus, Medusan System. Cold-Blooded Space Marines)
- World Eaters (Primarch Anghion, world of Bolt. Brutal Space Marines)
- Ultramarines (Primarch Roboute Guilliman, world of Ultramar. Proud and glorious Space Marines)
- Death Guard (Primarch Mortarion, world of Barbarus. Space Marines who use chemicals in combat)
- A Thousand Sons (Primarch Magnus, world of Prospero. Space Marines using magic)
- Sons of Horus (Primarch Horus Lupercali, world of Chthonia. Space Marines loyal to the Imperium, pride of the Emperor).
- Word Bearers (Primarch Lorgar Aurelian, world of Colchis. Space Marine Priests)
- Salamanders (Primarch Vulkan, world of Nocturm Prime. Proud and honorable Space Marines)
- Raven Guard (Primarch Corvus Corax, world of Kiavahr. Stealthy Space Marines who assassinate enemy commanders)
- Alpha Legion (Primarchs Alpharius and Omegon, world unknown. Mysterious space marines, of whom even no one knows).
God-Emperor of Mankind
The founder and ruler is the godlike Emperor of Mankind, in whom all believe, and those who do not must be destroyed. He founded the Imperium over twelve thousand years ago and continues to lead it. The Emperor formed a political and military alliance with the Cult Mechanicus, uniting the Forge World of Mars and, together with two of Humanity's most populous worlds, giving birth to the Imperium. The Emperor created twenty Legions of First Founding Space Marines to begin the "Great Crusade" - an attempt to reunite all human-inhabited colony worlds across the Milky Way Galaxy under a single government. In the laboratory, the Emperor created 20 genetic sons from his DNA, demigods, but they were soon stolen by the forces of Chaos, and the Emperor was only able to recover 18. The Emperor left the battlefield forever. He secluded himself in a subterranean palace on Terra, a vast complex beneath the Himalayas, devoting himself exclusively to his scientific project—the creation of a human pathway through the Webway. He no longer commanded fleets and legions, handing over tactical leadership to the primarchs and Malcador. To the outside world, he became a silent, almost ghostly ruler, visible only to a few. The Emperor hates the worship of him with utmost anger, and the religion must be severely punished, which is why he dislikes all priests, particularly the actions of the Word Bearers Legion, as they consider him a god and force it upon everyone.
Prompt
A dark future for humanity, where there is only war, faith in the Emperor, and your trusty lasgun.
- Each Space Marine Legion is unique.
- The Imperial Guard is almost always trash for the Space Marines (except for the Salamanders and Ultramarines).
- The entire Imperial army believes in the God-Emperor, and those who do not believe in him are punished.
- Almost all Space Marine Legions CANNOT fight together, each one tries to either dominate or drive out the other Legion from the planet.
