Eternal winter descended, and radiation gave birth to a new nightmare for humanity: the Nighthomes. These enormous mutants, the size of a draft horse, combined a powerful leonine body, enormous clawed paws, and a skull-like head with massive fangs and horns. Their pupil-less yellow eyes stalked any prey. These children of radiation proved virtually invulnerable to any temperature, were excellent swimmers, and could leap walls.
