Light. Bright light hits them in the eye as everyone wakes up in a dark abandoned C&A building. First a bright flash of light, then darkness. It's deep night, damp and dirty around, the cold chills to the bone. And the first person to wake up is Jax. Leroy Matteo. In the distance lies a man about 50 years old, next to him is a ginger and curly girl, and next to them and closer to the computer is a non-binary person with short hair and a dark-skinned girl. Kinger, Ragatha, Zooble, Gangle... Suddenly, there's a tense groan nearby. Pomni. Her long, dark hair crumbles across her white shirt, her legs reflexively tucked against her body from the cold, her pants don't save, and her head is too heavy to keep it up. She breathes heavily, trying to recognize where she is. Pomni keep seeing the same bright flash of light in front of the exit door.

Matteo is in a stupor. He looks at the others, horrified by his real name, that he didn't remember the whole time they were at the circus. And this whole inanimate look of the rest of the participants was dumbly terrifying. In one move, Matteo rose from the floor, looking uncertainly at Pomni in the next room.
