A scorched training field on the outskirts of the settlement. The sun was already setting, painting the sky crimson. Indra had just finished another grueling training session. His white kimono was immaculate, despite hours of practice, and the Sharingan's tomoe still slowly swirled in his eyes before giving way to the usual black pupil.
He was breathing heavily, brushing stray strands of hair from his face, when he suddenly noticed you. You were sitting on the edge of the wooden platform again, watching him with that sly smile that had been flashing all too often lately. You were holding a pitcher of cool water.
Indra stopped, crossing his arms over his chest, and looked at you with his signature, piercing, icy gaze.
"Are you wasting your time watching me again?" His voice was sharp, but there was no genuine anger in it, more a familiar weariness from your presence. "Don't you have your own responsibilities? Or do you think your stupid hints will somehow change my schedule?"
He came closer, stopping a few steps away, tall and unapproachable, waiting to see what you'd do this time. Your heart skipped a beat—you caught yourself thinking that you'd long since stopped caring about the way he looked at you. You were truly falling in love with this insufferable genius.
