Dr. Crabblesnitch: Headmaster of the school. He doesn't teach, but he manages Bullworth Academy.

Mr. Galloway: English teacher. He's an alcoholic, disorganized, and quite depressed, although deep down he cares about his students. He has an affair with Philips.

Mr. Hattrick: Mathematics teacher. Very demanding, irritable, and famous for punishing cheaters. He has a rivalry with Mr. Galloway.

Mr. Luntz: Chemistry Professor. Science enthusiast, albeit rather eccentric.

Mr. Connors: Shop Instructor. He teaches mechanics and manual labor. He is one of the most respected instructors among the students.

Edna: The cafeteria cook and Home Economics teacher. She's somewhat unpleasant and has a very peculiar personality; she often flirts with other staff members, especially Mr. Luntz.

Mrs. Carvin: Librarian. She keeps order in the library and chases after noisy students.

Ms. Peters: Hippie music teacher

Ms. Philips: An attractive art teacher, well-liked by her students. She has an affair with Mr. Galloway.

A group of boys who enjoy giving others rest Russell Northrop: a giant with the strength of a truck, not very bright but loyal. Troy Miller: second in command, quite aggressive. Davis White: a fan of fighting. Ethan Robinson: muscular and loudmouthed. Tom Gurney: intimidating, follows Russell. Trent Northwick: trying to act tough. Wade Martin: minor bully, quite a coward.

People without a group are people who, as such, do not have their own group, but they have their short, casual friendships. Eunice: The weird girl, unpleasant to look at and hear, but she's not a bad person. Christy: A cute cheerleader with charisma, but without much prominence or brainpower. Sheldon Thompson: An intelligent, friendly, and know-it-all student. He likes to correct others and show off his knowledge. Weak and small. Pedro de la Hoya: A reserved, kind, and hardworking young man. He prefers to stay out of conflicts and focus on his own affairs. Melody Adams: A sweet, optimistic, and friendly girl. She usually treats everyone well and avoids problems whenever possible. Karen Johnson: Naive, superficial, and concerned with appearances. She tends to be gullible and somewhat absentminded. Gloria Jackson: Sociable, kind, and calm. She is one of the most well-balanced and friendly students at Bullworth. Angie Ng: Intelligent, studious, and peaceful. She stands out for her responsibility and calm demeanor. Constantinos Brakus: A foreign student with an eccentric personality. His peculiar behavior often attracts the attention of others. Trevor Moore: Strange, socially awkward, and somewhat unsettling. He has difficulty relating to other students. Ray Hughes: Relaxed, friendly, and carefree. He usually gets along well with most people and avoids getting into trouble.

Jimmy Hopkins: The last student to enroll, he caused as much chaos as he did solutions, and most students turn to him when there's a problem. Rebellious, tiresome, and revolutionary, he's popular with girls and generally known for his brute strength and fighting skills.

Petey Kowalsky: A shy, sensitive boy, initially the target of ridicule, but he eventually earned their respect. A close friend of Jimmy Hopkins.

Gary Smith: A treacherous villain with erratic reasoning due to his disorders.

A group of thugs who act like they're the best, they're not exactly denigrated, but they're not idols either. Cool kids, but they're just following their own style.

Johnny Vincent: charismatic and jealous leader. Norton Williams: huge and very strong. Peanut Romano: impulsive and conflictive. Lucky De Luca: relaxed and loyal. Ricky Pucino: sensitive and romantic. Hal Esposito: aggressive. Lefty Mancini: small but a fighter. Vance Medici: Proud to be a Greaser. Lola Lombardi: flirtatious, she causes several romantic problems.

Townies are kids who were expelled from Bullworth or who simply decided not to go because they couldn't stand the stupid rules.

Edgar Munsen: leader of the Townies. Intelligent, strong, and quite reasonable compared to other leaders. Zoe: A rebellious, difficult girl with a sharp tongue. Duncan: big and aggressive. Otto Tyler: rebellious and troubled. Jerry: troublesome and mocking. Leon: quiet compared to other Townies. Omar Romero: loyal to the group. Gurney: tough and a fighter.

Preppies are a popular group in the academy, made up of boxers and rich kids of mommy and daddy, heirs to some fortune.

Derby Harrington: leader, arrogant and elitist. Bif Taylor: big, boxer, and a bit of a fool. Chad Morris: conceited. Bryce Montrose: rich and snobbish. Justin Vandervelde: elegant and conceited. Gord Vendome: competitive. Parker Ogilvie: refined and mocking. Pinky Gauthier: rebel within the group and occasional ally of Jimmy. Tad Spencer: pretty unbearable.

Nerds are at the bottom of the hierarchy, targets of ridicule, not-so-nice people with rather morbid minds. Earnest Jones: leader, intelligent and arrogant. Algernon Papadopoulos: clumsy, asthmatic, and a constant victim. Beatrice: An imaginative girl, obsessed with good grades. Bucky Pasteur: inventor and technology expert. Beasley: obsessed with science. Cornelius Johnson: shy and studious. Donald Anderson: nervous and eccentric. Fatty Johnson: kind, gluttonous, and calm. Melvin O'Connor: obsessed with comics. Thad Carlson: intelligent but insecure.

Jocks are a group placed at the top of the hierarchy, the most popular and respected, a group made up of: Ted Thompson: leader of the group, sports star and very popular. Damon West: probably the strongest of the group. Bo Jackson: competitive. Casey Harris: classic sportsman. Dan Wilson: aggressive. Juri Karamazov: A serious but brutal Russian athlete. Mandy Wiles: Only woman in the group, cheerleader.
