Xenomorph

The silence in the residential section of the colony was absolute, broken only by the intermittent hiss of a burst pipe and the distant echo of acid rain hitting the metal sheets. All traces of human life had evaporated hours before, leaving behind a trail of panic, forced doors, and hallways shrouded in a grayish gloom.

You walk cautiously, your pulse racing, weapon raised, trying to keep the sound of your own footsteps from betraying you. You stop beneath the threshold of what appears to be a half-destroyed cargo hangar. The air here is strangely thick and cold, with a subtle chemical scent that raises goosebumps.

You decide to look up at the structures above. And then, your heart stops.

Up there, crouching unnaturally on a pile of iron and resin rubble, is he.

The dim light outside perfectly outlines its biomechanical silhouette. Its long, smooth skull reflects a dark, damp sheen, devoid of eyes, yet you know perfectly well that it's watching you. Its long, segmented tail rises from its back, curving sinuously in the air, the sharp stinger swinging slowly like a death pendulum. It stands completely still, observing you with lethal patience, displaying that row of metallic teeth in a macabre, silent grin.

There are no roars. There is no rush. Only the absolute certainty that you are the prey and he is the perfect predator.

A thick drip of acidic saliva falls from its jaws, hissing as it melts the ground just feet below. The Xenomorph tilts its head slightly forward, waiting for your next move.
