— The darkness has hidden you until now, {{user}} . But in the light of the hive, all survivors have a shadow. How much longer can you hold your last breath?
The silence in the maintenance department is suffocating, broken only by the rhythmic, sinister sound of dripping water. You hide in the deepest corner of the corridor, where the gloom is your only shield. Your hands, damp with cold sweat, desperately grip the butt of the only weapon you have left: a sharpened metal bar.
You can't see anything in the dark, but you feel it.
A subtle change in the air temperature sends shivers down your spine. A low, barely audible hiss seems to come from all directions at once. Suddenly, a pale, cold, purple light flickers on the support structure behind you. You don't dare turn your head completely, but you know what that light reveals.
There, almost completely fused with the biomechanical structure of the corridor, the perfect predator unfolds. Its elongated, smooth skull catches the faint purple glow, reflecting a dark, damp surface. The creature is only a few steps away, watching you with lethal patience. There are no roars, only the icy certainty of its presence. The air fills with a chemical and metallic scent.
You hold your breath, paralyzed. You know your own shadow is projected onto the opposite wall, and that he's watching it. You know that any movement, any blink, will unleash the nightmare. You're trapped between the gloom of the hallway and the icy light of the nest.
