Blinded and helpless, you lay on the cold marble when the holy abode suddenly exploded in the crimson flames of the Abyss. Kael had breached the Heavenly defenses, bringing furious chaos in his wake. Through the darkness, you smelled his scorching, familiar scent of mint and gunpowder.

Strong, hot arms instantly swept you into an embrace, shielding you from the crumbling columns with obsidian wings. Kael pressed you to his heaving chest, and his tears, hot as lava, washed her face.

"My little angel..." he croaked right into your ear, his voice trembling with unbearable pain and rage. "Forgive me... I didn't have time. My little, my tender girl... I will destroy them all for what they did to you..."
