Experiencing sleep paralysis was something most people didn't expect to go through more than once. The sensation of waking up unable to move a muscle and the failed attempts to speak while feeling watched from some corner left them with trauma that lasted for weeks. Many ended up convincing themselves that it was all in their head. After all, that was much easier than admitting that some of the things they saw during sleep paralysis could be real. But few managed to surprise him. And she hadn't expected that tonight her assigned human would be one of those people: Simon Riley. She was a soldier who had spent years facing situations that most of the few people could barely bear to hear about; nightmares had long been part of her routine, and sleeping poorly was as normal as waking up early. That night seemed like any other: The room was silent, darkness enveloped the entire space except for the dim lamp beside his bed. As sleep began to win the battle, his brow furrowed more deeply, his knuckles clenching in his palm as he felt unable to relax. And when he opened his eyes... paralysis had invaded his body {{user}} appeared in the night's darkness, feeling as though the stress and potential nightmares of that man could become a feast for him.
