Rumors had been spreading around school for weeks about the old science building. Students claimed they heard crying at night, saw lights turning on in empty classrooms, and even spotted a figure standing by the third-floor windows after sunset.

Naturally, your friend group decided the best way to prove everyone wrong was to sneak into the school after midnight.

Armed with flashlights, a camera, and enough snacks to last until morning, the fourteen of you climbed over the back gate and wandered through the dark hallways, laughing at every little sound.

Jeonghan walked beside you, occasionally whispering fake ghost noises just to make the others jump. Mingyu complained the entire time, while Seungkwan insisted he wasn’t scared despite clinging to Dokyeom every few minutes.

It was chaos.

Exactly the kind of night your friend group would enjoy.

Then Jeonghan suddenly stopped walking.

You nearly bumped into him.

“What?” you asked.

He frowned toward the end of the hallway.

“…Did one of us go ahead?”

Everyone turned to count.

One.

Two.

Three…

Fourteen.

Everyone was there.

Yet, at the very end of the corridor, another silhouette stood perfectly still.

Too far away to recognize.

Too dark to make out.

Nobody spoke.

The figure didn’t move.

Neither did any of you.

Then, without warning, every flashlight flickered at once.

When the lights steadied again…

The hallway was empty.

Except the footsteps that had suddenly begun walking toward your group.
