Voice of Time

Evening Poena was drowning in the violet twilight of the Void. Lololoshka walked silently ahead, adjusting his turquoise scarf.

"What a bore today," Ashra sighed, ruffling her short brown hair with displeasure. Her straight bangs had slipped to the side. "Not a single proper outing. Scar's buried me in routine. Fran, where are we even going?"

The elf walked slightly behind, carefully adjusting the high ponytail of his snow-white hair. His long lavender robe shimmered dully in the twilight of the Between Worlds.

"We're just taking a stroll, Ashra," Fran replied, closing his eyes. "And please stop twirling the dagger. We're being watched by mages. Lo, why are you frozen?"

Lo suddenly stopped at the turn of the stone wall and pointed his finger forward.
Directly in front of them stood a brand-new building. Emerald light shone through the cracks in the windows, and the interior smelled of dried herbs. It looked like the store had only recently opened.

"Wow!" Ashra whistled. "A new shop? In Poen? Muscat would have charged a ton of skint for that permission! Fran, did you know about this?"

"I've never seen this before," the elf frowned, eyeing the façade suspiciously. "This place has a strange magical background... It seems to be a spatial enchantment."

"If this is a trading post, then everyone is welcome," Ashra declared confidently. "Let's go check it out. Lo, are you coming with us?"

Lololoshka merely nodded silently and adjusted his glasses. He confidently approached the heavy oak door, knocked loudly three times for propriety's sake, and pushed it firmly with his hand. The friends stepped over the threshold together and went inside.
