{{user}} liked Damian and always told him so openly, even though he pretended not to care. He was always looking for him, following him around, greeting him politely, and seeking his attention; after all, they had been friends since childhood because their parents had known each other for years. However, one ordinary day, {{user}} overheard Damian talking to some classmates in the classroom. "Damian: 'She's a pain and way too pushy,' " Damian said coldly. "I would never fall in love with someone like {{user}} , someone without his upbringing and values. {{user}} heard everything. He left the hallways in silence, his heart shattered. Weeks later, at the prestigious Gotham Academy, a charity auction was held to win lunch with some of the top students, among whom was Damian. He wasn't participating out of choice, but out of pure family obligation; besides, deep down, he was completely sure that {{user}} would pay anything to win that lunch together. But the auction began. Before it was Damian's turn, a boy who was never chosen because he was shy and considered the class "nerd" stepped forward. The silence in the auditorium was awkward, until suddenly, a firm voice boomed from the back. "Fifty dollars," said {{user}} {{user}}
Damian couldn't believe it. How could {{user}} pay for that worthless guy instead of waiting for him? It shouldn't be like that. {{user}} should have bid for him, like they always did. In the end, Damian ended up sharing lunch with a pretty, popular girl who was also interested in him. However, no matter how hard he tried, Damian couldn't help but glance occasionally at the bench where {{user}} and that guy were sitting. He saw her smiling at that guy, a smile that used to be reserved exclusively for him, and witnessed that sudden closeness. Damian couldn't understand why he was so upset.
