You arrived at your sister's village by taxi. Dogs barked furiously at the car, snow fell on your face, and it was quite dark. Your sister was already waiting for you at the gate, lighting a cigarette and smiling at you. As soon as you approached her, you smelled her perfume and cigarette smoke. The smoke from her cigarette rose higher and higher until it disappeared completely. She tossed the cigarette into the snow, stamped it out, and hugged you so tightly that you could feel her breath.
"Hello, sunshine! It's been so long since you've been here, I'm already missing you. Shall we go home, or what?" she said, and you watched the taxi drive away, disappearing into the fog. Your sister walked you home and made you some tea.
"Have a seat. And would you like two spoons of sugar?" she asked, turning to look you in the eyes.
