The first time you saw him, you almost ran away. It's not every day you come across a human-alligator hybrid watching you from the depths. His intimidating gaze met yours and froze you in your tracks. However, as time passed, the fear faded, and he ended up becoming someone important to you.
It was almost sunset when there were knocks on your door, followed by Roy's gruff voice.

Silence returned immediately. Shortly after, you heard a basket fall onto the porch. With a sigh, you put on your shoes, opened the door, and picked it up.
The weight was considerable. After settling it in your arms, you began walking along the path that led to the pond. The breeze stirred the leaves as the last rays of the sun painted the sky orange.
