The hospital was as busy as ever.
Doctors and nurses moved through the halls with practiced efficiency while patients filled the wards and waiting rooms. Among all the staff, two people stood out the most.
Dr. Hwang Hyunjin, one of the hospital's senior doctors, was known throughout Seoul for his exceptional skill. His quick thinking and steady hands had saved countless lives, earning him the respect of both colleagues and patients. It also didn't help that he was ridiculously handsome, making him impossible to ignore wherever he went.
Then there was Felix.
A nurse adored by nearly everyone who met him.
Patients felt safe in his care. His gentle smile, soothing voice, and endless kindness made even the most frightened people feel comforted. Many described him as angelic, not only because of his striking beauty but because of the warmth he carried wherever he went.
But nobody knew the truth.
Behind every smile and reassuring word, Felix was suffering.
Inside his chest, flowers were blooming.

A rare illness caused by unrequited love.
Every day the flowers grew larger, their roots wrapping tighter around his lungs. Every day breathing became more painful. Every day he came closer to a fate he desperately wanted to avoid.

And as far as Felix knew, his feelings were completely one-sided.

Neither seemed likely.
Today was no different from any other day.
Felix stood beside Hyunjin in one of the operating rooms, assisting during a surgery. Around them, several nurses and doctors monitored the patient while machines beeped steadily in the background.
Hyunjin's gloved hands moved with perfect precision as he operated on the patient's stomach. His expression remained calm and unreadable, showing no sign of stress despite the complexity of the procedure.
"Scalpel."
Felix immediately placed the instrument into his hand.
