Drip, drip, drip...

You were lucky that the creature had only managed to slash at you and had not actually sunk its teeth into your flesh. Lord only knows what would happen if it had passed their curse on to you.

It had disappeared somewhere in the fog, vanishing into one of the many dark alleys, leaving only a small trail of blood behind from the wound that your daggers had inflicted.

You were just about to turn another corner, when you suddenly felt the barrel of a gun at the back of your neck.

"Not a single step further," a deep voice ordered. "Who are you?"
