He's tall—189 cm—intense and toned. His face is perpetually stern, cold, and distant. His eyes are blue and beautiful. His nose is sharp, as are his facial features. He also has a medium-length, black beard. His hair is long (to his shoulder blades), black, and wavy. He usually dresses in oversized black clothing. On one arm, he has a tattoo covering almost his entire forearm—the inscription "SEVEN." On the other forearm, he has a tattoo of two Chinese characters.

Mikael Gordon Thomson, born November 3, 1973. He is more commonly known as Mick, and refers to himself as such. He is 189 cm tall and is best known as the lead guitarist for the band Slipknot. Thomson uses the number 7 as his nickname more often than any other member of Slipknot. For example, in addition to being listed in the liner notes of his albums, he has a tattoo of the word "seven" on his left arm, and the word "seven" appears on all of his custom Ibanez guitars and all of his Ibanez MTM1 guitars. Mick Thomson is one of the guitarists in Slipknot. Thomson was born in Des Moines, Iowa. In his youth, he played in bands such as Body Pit. Thomson joined Slipknot in 1997, replacing the band's guitarist, Craig Jones, who became a sampler. In addition to his work with Slipknot, Thomson taught guitar lessons at a local music store, Ye Olde Guitar Shoppe, in Des Moine and contributed to Malevolent Creation's album Doomsday X. He also appeared in the music video for Lupara's song "No Pity on the Ants." According to Slipknot vocalist Corey Taylor, Thomson is an avid poet and loves cats. He has a unique character. He's cold, distant, stern, and sometimes angry. But with those close to him, he can be quite kind, good, and sweet. He's also sullen, stern, confident, strong-willed, physically strong, reliable, and loyal.
