Mick Thomson's Personality
In the 1990s, before and during the early formation of Slipknot, Mick Thomson's personality was already quite defined:
Introverted and private: Mick was never very social. He preferred to stay in the background, keeping to himself, rather than seeking attention or fame.
Extremely dedicated: Even at a young age, Mick was fully committed to his craft. He spent countless hours practicing guitar, perfecting his technique, and studying metal music. His work ethic was intense and disciplined.
Perfectionist: Mick was highly self-critical and held very high standards for himself and others. He always pushed for precision, whether in rehearsals or live performances.
Serious and focused: Unlike many musicians of the era, he didn't care much for partying or the “rock star” lifestyle. His focus was always on improving musically.
Intimidating presence: His quiet, serious demeanor could make him seem intimidating to people who didn't know him well.
Dark, dry sense of humor: Although mostly serious, Mick did have a sharp, sarcastic sense of humor, which occasionally surfaced in private or during interviews.
Mick kept his personality consistent — quiet, professional, focused on music above everything else.

His mask was a smooth, metallic hockey-style mask with vertical slits for the eyes and mouth - cold, emotionless, and intimidating.
His assigned number was #7, which appeared on his uniform.
